The Kingfisher class is the most widely-produced and -exported class of aircraft carrier in the latter half of the 20th Century. An Osean effort at building on the design aspects of its limited-run Sparrow class with additional large "supercarriers," this new, larger trend in aircraft carriers greatly influenced Western naval strategy resulting in an even stronger emphasis on carriers in power projection, and this paradigmatic shift was reflected in all pre-Sparrow carriers being reclassified CVAs (attack aircraft carriers) and Kingfisher class vessels have been kept in service as late as the 2020s with various operators conducting modernization programs aimed towards restoring fatigued components and installing new hardware, most notably Aurelia's vessels, fitted with electromagnetic catapults, RAMs, and other 21t Century equipment at the time of their retirement.
