A superheavy post-Dreadnought battleship, the Rindr was the flagship of the Belkan navy since her commissioning in 1936. Though of questionable effectiveness as technology advanced over the course of the 20th Century, she was progressively modernized with phased array radars, CIWS, and missile launchers, and was recognized as a symbol of Belkan pride in her overwhelming and imposing size.
Ultimately, the modernized Rindr's weakness proved to be a lack of anti-submarine weapons. Despite successfully fighting off several waves of Allied fighters, she was sunk by torpedoes from two November City class attack subs in April of 1995.
Ships
FBS Rindr (B8) - The Rindr was completed in 1936 and served as the Belkan navy's flagship throughout her career. Though equipped for defense against aircraft and other ships, she was sunk by submarines in the Belkan War.
HIMS Emperor Magnus (BB-3) - Constructed in Erusea, the Magnus was stationed in Farbanti as Erusea's last means of defense from naval action, and was deployed to the Atlantic after both Syn class battleships in the nation's inventory were sunk by the UCS Unity. Crippled by an immense airstrike mounted by half of the CUS's naval aviation assets, she limped back to Farbanti and sat in port over the next forty years despite several proposals to modernize her. She was finally broken up when the Second Republic decided to acquire Bannion class battleships in her place.
