The Stoykiy (Western: Steadfast) class nuclear-powered, guided missile-armed battlecruiser developed in response to the West's accelerated deployment of air defense ships such as the Excalibur class, capable of shooting down anti-ship missiles. Featuring an aircraft carrier-sized hull lined with VLS arrays, it is meant to overwhelm carriers' defenses through the sheer number of its missiles. It is also capable of shore bombardment with its cruise missiles and anti-submarine warfare through bow-mounted ASROCs.
The Stoykiy was not widely proliferated, but proved an effective surface combatant when it saw combat. In the Circum-Pacific War only the Umely and Besstrashnyy were lost, both to air-to-surface fire, but their offensive capabilities remained matched by Osean escort ships and failed to sink any OMDF carriers.
